Leadership in Respiratory Care Part 2:

This course is approved for 5.0 AARC CEU's. You must complete the 5 modules to get your certificate. You will have a 15-question comprehensive posttest at the end. You must achieve a passing score of 70%. You can retake the test as many times as you want. Remember, each course has a PDF download, and questions are based on the content in the PDF.


Course Objectives

  1. Team Building and Collaboration: Leadership involves fostering a positive work environment and building strong, collaborative teams. Respiratory therapy leaders should encourage open communication, recognize team members’ contributions, and promote a culture of continuous learning. By empowering their team, leaders enhance patient safety and overall departmental effectiveness.

 

       2. Team Collaboration: Strong leadership fosters collaboration among respiratory therapists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. This teamwork enhances         communication, reduces errors, and promotes a positive work environment.

 

      3. Enhancing Clinical Competency: Mentoring aims to improve the mentee’s clinical skills and knowledge. This involves providing guidance on evidence-based practices, patient assessment, treatment modalities, and critical thinking. The mentor helps the mentee develop confidence in their clinical decision-making abilities.
