The most important benefit of clinical practice guidelines is their potential to improve both the quality or process of care and patient outcomes. Increasingly, clinicians and clinical managers must choose from numerous, sometimes differing, and occasionally contradictory, guidelines.
A & T Respiratory Lectures has developed a series of easily accessible and affordable educational courses focused on various aspects of care in the ICU. The course content is designed and presented by experts in the field.
Clinical Guidelines for Patient Care Part 2:
This course is approved for 5 AARC CEU's. You must complete the 5 modules to get your certificate. You can complete this course by ( put a date). You will have a 15 question comprehensive post test at the end. You must acheive a passing score of 70%. You can retake the test as many time as you want. Remember, each course has a PDF download and questions are based on the the content in the PDF.

Albert J. Heuer, PhD, MBA, RRT-ACCS RPFT, FAARC, joined Rutgers University in 1996, where he currently holds the rank of Professor. He is an adjunct faculty within the Respiratory Care Programs at Rowan University (NJ), Rush University (Chicago, Illinois) and County College of Morris (NJ).
Dr. Heuer designs and teaches courses related to health care administration and respiratory care. Dr. Heuer co-authors one textbook, co-edits two others, including the world renowned Egan’s Fundamentals of Respiratory Care. Furthermore, Dr. Heuer has published numerous articles and book chapters, and has conducted many invited presentations relating to health care administration, clinical simulations and respiratory therapy.
Dr. Heuer is a Fellow in the American Association for Respiratory Care (FAARC) and is past recipient of the Rutgers Master Educator Guild and the Rutgers Excellence in Teaching Awards. Dr. Heuer has also in the past held the positions of Treasurer, Vice President and Director-at-Large for the New Jersey Society for Respiratory Care.

His legacy includes not just impactful instruction but also an enduring commitment to advancing the standard of care in respiratory medicine.

Kenneth Miller, MEd, MSRT, RRT-ACCS, RRT-NPS, AE-C, FAARC?With nearly five decades of experience in respiratory care, Kenneth Miller is a distinguished respiratory therapist specializing in mechanical ventilation, ICU patient management, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Currently serving as the Clinical Educator of Respiratory Care Services at Jefferson-LVHN and adjunct faculty at Northampton Community College, Kenneth has dedicated his career to clinical practice, education, and research. A sought-after speaker, he has delivered presentations at local, regional, and national levels. In 2016, he was honored as a Fellow of the American Association for Respiratory Care (FAARC), recognizing his exceptional contributions to the field.
